Field assessment & drainage planning
A drainage project starts with understanding the field. We discuss wet areas, cropping needs, existing drainage, terrain and potential outlets to help define the work and priorities.
Farm drainage is part of Countryside’s agricultural roots. We work with landowners and growers to discuss field conditions, drainage concerns and practical improvements for working farmland.

A drainage project starts with understanding the field. We discuss wet areas, cropping needs, existing drainage, terrain and potential outlets to help define the work and priorities.
Subsurface drainage can help manage excess water in the soil when the site and outlet are suitable. We discuss tile installation layouts, grades and connections in relation to field conditions and the project plan.
Older or incomplete drainage systems may need attention to keep water moving. We can review known tile locations, problem areas and potential repair or extension work to identify the next step.
A drainage system depends on an appropriate outlet and a clear path for water. We review outlet conditions and related earthwork, including surface shaping where it is part of the agreed project scope.
Before we get started
Share the field location, acreage, drainage concerns, any existing tile maps and known outlet information. John Iott’s work with the farm, drainage and excavation connects the project to the needs of agricultural ground.

Contact us with the field location, the areas causing concern and any records of the existing tile. Those details help us discuss an assessment and potential work.
Tile maps, field boundaries, observed wet spots, outlet locations and your crop schedule are useful starting points. Site conditions determine the final scope.
